Con el uso, la bici se desgasta y sus piezas suelen desajustarse o dañarse. La utilización continua, la lluvia, el polvo y el sol son los factores principales que la afectan.
Es necesario realizar frecuentemente una revisión y un mantenimiento de la bici, para determinar si hay que cambiar o ajustar piezas, y así evitar accidentes, lesiones por una postura incómoda o simplemente para tener un mejor rendimiento sobre esta.
Es recomendable que por lo menos cada 3 meses se le haga un mantenimiento total a la bici y cada mes una alistada en el taller. En temporada de lluvia o cuando se ha recorrido un camino de tierra o lodo, lo ideal es llevarla al taller para que le hagan una alistada o lavarla en casa.
Aquí les dejamos el paso a paso de la limpieza:
- Mantener la bici de pie.
- Aplicar spray desengrasante en los componentes.
- Utilizar una esponja con agua y jabón para lavar la bici.
- Posteriormente, enjuagar con agua limpia la bici.
- Para finalizar, aplicar un poco de lubricante en la cadena y ponerla a rodar para que engrase toda la pacha.
HERRAMIENTAS BÁSICAS PARA SALIR A RODAR
– Kit de llaves multiherramienta.
– Desmontadores para llanta.
– Neumático.
– Pipeta.
¿Cómo desvararnos si nos pinchamos en medio de una rodada?
- De pie, quítale la llanta a tu bicicleta. Si es la llanta trasera, pasa la cadena al piñón más pequeño de los cambios, al igual que al plato, así es más fácil colocar la rueda de nuevo. Este proceso de desmonte puedes hacerlo de manera mucho más sencilla poniendo la bici ruedas arriba, de tal forma que quede apoyada en el suelo sobre el sillín y la dirección
- Abre la válvula, presiónala y deja que salga el poco aire que aún queda al interior del neumático.
- Separa la llanta del rin por uno de los lados con los desmontadores, saca el interior de la válvula y retira en neumático.
- Revisa en qué parte del neumático está el pinchazo y ubícalo en la llanta para poder limpiarla.
- Al meter el neumático empieza por la válvula, monta la llanta al rin, al principio, con las manos. Revisa que el neumático no quede torcido, ya que se puede estallar al inflarlo.
- Al final utiliza los desmontadores evitando morder el neumático. Abre la válvula y no la estires hasta que esté desocupada. Recuerda tener cuidado con la pipeta, ya que te puede quemar con esta cuando se enfría.
Una bicicleta que tenga un mantenimiento constante, siempre será una bici segura.
