Perder la motivación puede ser lo más probable durante esta época, ya que no tenemos competencias cerca y esto hace que nos relajemos un poco y dejemos de presionarnos. Sin embargo, existen varios motivos por los cuales no deberíamos dejar que esto nos pasará y aquí se los vamos a contar.
Desde el punto de vista del rendimiento deportivo, es importante durante el año buscar unos picos de rendimiento con el entrenamiento. Aquí básicamente lo que se hace es que se estresa el cuerpo, luego se recupera y finalmente entra a una fase de adaptación. Esto es lo que conocemos como la curva de rendimiento.
Cuando nos relajamos y dejamos de buscar dicha curva, lo más probable es que llevemos nuestro cuerpo a una especie de meseta, donde cada vez se vuelve mucho más difícil mejorar, e incluso se puede llegar al punto de quedarse estancado.
Si lo vemos desde este punto de vista, estaríamos perdiendo un año de entrenamiento.
Debemos entender que los parámetros de referencia y los valores que se agregan a TrainingPeaks deben ir aumentando con el paso de los meses, ya que esto hace referencia a la adaptación que el cuerpo está teniendo al aumento de cargas para ser así más eficiente.
Recordemos que no siempre debemos tener una carrera para buscar ser mejores en lo que hacemos. Buscar esos picos en el entrenamiento es fundamental para tener mejor rendimiento, ser más eficientes y poder llegar a esa meta que tanto nos soñamos de la mejor manera.
